Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: FSC Panama City Corporate Office - Panama City, FL 32405 Position Type: Full-Time (30 + hours/week) Education Level: High School/Equivalent Salary Range: $17.00 - $21.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Not applicable Job Shift: Days Job Category: Accounting Job Summary The Accounting Assistant position is intended to understand the function of each department within First Service Corporation and how those departments provide support services to the Royal American Companies in order to assist in the facilitation of any projects that require collaboration between multiple departments. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to meet strict deadlines established by department and management agreements A strong understanding of GAAP Review accounting reports for accuracy and tie out balance sheet items tosupport The ability to interpret business documents to understand what impact they may have on financialstatements The ability to interpret the accounting impact of business processes and operationssoftware Manage assigned projects and coordinate with necessary staff to meet deadlines and reportingrequirements Attend meetings as directed and other assignments as needed to meet the needs of the department andbusiness Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Ability to read and understand financial, statements, partnership agreements, and other businessdocuments Familiar with monthly close processes and required reporting Knowledge of generally accepted accountingprinciples Effective organizational and time managementskills Excellent verbal and written communicationskills Ability to work independently with minimalsupervision Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and productively with otheremployees Dependable, punctual, andreliable Proficient in advanced Excel andWord Education and Experience BS Degree in Business/ Accountingrequired Sage (Timberline) software experience a plusand/or Documented experience with other accounting softwares Physical Demands Must be able work with a computer for a minimum of 7 hoursdaily Must be able to read printed materials and computerscreen Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate in e‑mail, by phone, or in person during the course of the workday Ability to perform data entry, keyboarding, and mouse functions to complete job duties timely andefficiently Ability to use phone systems and officemachines #J-18808-Ljbffr First-Service-Corporation
