Pay: $25.19 - $30.00 per hour

Position Details

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Anaheim, CA 92806
• Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts
• Shift Window: 7:00 AM 6:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient or ambulatory Medical Assistant experience
• Medical Assistant Diploma
• Current BLS certification
• Epic EMR experience required

Job Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for orthopedic examinations and treatments.
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
• Review and document medical histories, medications, allergies, and current concerns.
• Perform blood draws and venipuncture as needed.
• Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.
• Assist physicians and providers with orthopedic examinations and procedures.
• Assist with casting and other orthopedic treatments as needed.
• Perform dressing changes and provide basic wound care.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms before patient visits.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized clinical areas.
• Process authorization forms and verify insurance information.
• Coordinate pharmacy calls and prescription refill requests.
• Conduct follow-up patient calls and assist with telephone triage.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR .
• Assist with patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Float to other clinics as required based on staffing needs.
