Job Summary The Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is seeking a highly motivated, full‑time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in support of our government customer, U.S. Special Operations Command. This position will play a critical role in advancing the Preservation of the Forces and Family (POTFF) program, dedicated to optimizing the mission readiness, longevity, and performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF). Through integrated and holistic human performance initiatives, POTFF strengthens both the Forces and their families, ensuring comprehensive support for those who serve. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will contribute to impactful research and analytics that drive evidence‑based decision‑making and enhance the effectiveness of these vital programs. In this role you serve as a behavioral health care provider within operational units, delivering evidence‑based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for psychological and neuropsychological disorders through individual, family, and group therapies. Responsibilities include participation in professional meetings, conducting applied research, consulting with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining detailed medical records, supervising trainees, performing case management, and engaging in military‑specific training and activities as directed. Responsibilities Function within an operational unit as a Behavioral Health Care Provider. Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as quality improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, commander’s staff meetings, and other meetings required by applicable regulations or as directed by the unit commander. Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work. Apply social work procedures and techniques—including interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidence‑based therapies—for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders using individual, family and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations. Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required. Maintain accurate and current notes in paper and electronic medical records for all patients seen and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment. Participate in specific military training/activities such as security clearances, use of DoD or service‑specific clinical practice guidelines, pre‑post deployment screening, PTSD, combat stress and others as directed by the unit commander. Clinically supervise unlicensed providers or trainees. May be required to perform some, or all, of the following activities: Participate in and successfully complete required DoD or service‑required training. Contact referred patients to assess treatment adherence. Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity. Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help patients problem‑solve solutions to barriers. Provide patients with education regarding their mental health condition and treatment regimen. Maintain patient information in a patient registry. Maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical records of all patients contacted for review by the managing physician. Routinely staff difficult cases with the referring provider, behavioral health consultant, and/or psychiatry consultant. Perform case management functions. Key Qualifications Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). At least two years within the past five years in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting. Current, full, active, and unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands. Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services. Prior experience in brief behavioral interventions. Maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF. May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) from the American Heart Association, with documentation provided. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a government setting, such as DoD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
