Assistant Professor
University of Minnesota
About the Job This position is to hire an Academic Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics. This hire will strategically build on research and teaching strengths in bio-engineering and cancer research. The selected candidate will bring advanced expertise in protein biochemistry, structural biology, and protein engineering to lead a pioneering laboratory focused on developing bio-engineered protein and cellular therapeutics. These efforts will target critical diseases, including cancer, rare genetically-driven disorders, and aging-related conditions. The laboratory will employ state-of-the-art structural biology techniques such as X-ray crystallography, NMR, CryoEM, and molecular modeling to inform the development and optimization of therapeutic candidates derived from protein engineering efforts. This work will be integrated with research and clinical scientists across the Medical School to engineer proteins for preclinical studies, bridging basic science with translational applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
