The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist dedicated to serving our Veterans—true heroes of our nation! Our healthcare teams are highly skilled and focused on meeting the needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.

Affiliated with Loma Linda University Health Medical School, this position includes teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents, and fellows. It offers an exceptional opportunity for those interested in an academic career that encompasses clinical care, education, and research, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.

• Conduct assessments, consultations, and prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-operative evaluations.
• Administer pain relief during surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures, and manage affected patients.
• Monitor and restore homeostasis during the perioperative period, as well as for critically ill or injured patients.
• Diagnose and provide intraoperative treatment for painful conditions.
• Oversee clinical management and instruction in cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation.
• Evaluate respiratory function and implement various forms of respiratory therapy.
• Supervise, teach, and assess the performance of medical and paramedical staff in anesthesia.
• Engage in administrative duties within hospitals, medical schools, and outpatient facilities to fulfill these responsibilities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives if desired.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $350,000 to $380,000 .

Flexible hours are available, with options for weekday or weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays.

• ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible.
