CALIFORNIA BAR LICENSED ATTORNEY ONLY - REMOTE - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO TRAVEL TO COURT HEARINGS - IRVINE OFFICE FOR IN HOUSE DEPOSITIONS AND REMOTE APPEARANCES
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior California licensed attorney specializing in Family Law Attorney to join our dedicated legal team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex family law cases, provide expert legal counsel to clients, and advocate passionately in court proceedings. Your expertise will help clients navigate sensitive family matters with confidence, ensuring their rights and interests are protected. This REMOTE position offers an exciting opportunity to influence positive outcomes while working in a collaborative and supportive environment committed to professional growth. Must love Family Law and enjoy communicating with clients!
Duties
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, TRO, DVRO, alimony, depositions, and Trials from inception through resolution
- Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements
- Draft comprehensive legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
- Prepare for and participate in court depositions, trials, and hearings with persuasive legal advocacy and strategic negotiation skills
- Advise clients on child custody arrangements, and other related legal issues with clarity and empathy
- Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining a client-focused approach that aligns with their best interests
- Maintain meticulous case management records using legal case management software "MyCase" to ensure accuracy and timely follow-up
- Must be able to travel to court hearings
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing
- Extensive experience practicing family law with a proven track record of successful litigation and client advocacy
- Strong skills in legal writing, motion preparation, trial preparation, contract drafting, and procedural law knowledge
- Excellent client communication abilities coupled with effective negotiation skills to resolve disputes amicably or through litigation as needed
- Prior experience working within a busy law office environment managing multiple cases efficiently, with heavy court calendar.
- Strong time management skills, excellent organization, responsible a MUST!
- California Bar Licensed attorney
