Neonatologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a neonatologist to join our progressive, growing neonatal practice at Mercy Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Scope of Practice & Responsibilities

• Team approach toward care in this 100‑bed, Level‑IV NICU
• Average daily census of 90, with 1,500 admissions and more than 10,000 deliveries annually
• Neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners provide 24‑hour, in‑house care
• Provide a challenging clinical environment including conventional ventilation, high‑frequency (HFJV and HFOV) ventilation, nitric oxide, and whole‑body cooling
• Work in close collaboration with a full complement of pediatric subspecialists, including pediatric surgery, in a suburban Children’s Hospital environment
• Long‑time members of the Vermont‑Oxford network; VON team maintains continuous involvement in QI initiatives
• Provide neonatal services at two nearby Level‑II NICUs with neonatal nurse practitioners in‑house 24 hours and neonatologists taking call from home
