Responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor: Make daily compliance rounds on units to observe, examine, or interview residents, verify information from the ongoing shift, monitor regulatory compliance, and determine staff assignments. Monitor delivery of care and services to ensure needs are met, tasks are completed, and that the work of direct care staff is of acceptable quality and quantity. Demonstrate competency in clinical skills needed for the facility resident population. Must have a working knowledge of laws and regulations that influence the provision of care and services in nursing facilities. Provide direct care Assume responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to residents. Administer treatments and medications. Supervise direct care. Ensure that "Flow of Care" is followed. Additional duties as assigned by the DON and ADON.
