Job Overview
Cardinal Buick GMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with the ability to work on a variety of vehicles. This role requires a commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. General Motor dealer experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics and repairs on various makes and models.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly.
- Utilize auto estimating software to provide accurate repair quotes to customers.
- Repair or replace engines/transmission, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Align vehicles and perform suspension repairs as needed.
- Work with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in an automotive service environment.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods.
- Experience in welding is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is required.
