Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; 1900-0730, 3 shifts per week; every other weekend

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• KS RN or Compact License
• BLS Certification
• 2+ years recent experience in Orthopedic/Spine and Telemetry, within the last 18 months, in a hospital setting
• Experience with a 5:1 RN ratio
• Background knowledge in General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics & Spine
• Familiarity with cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
• Skilled in administering Heparin drips, TPN, PCA, and telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Proficient with the current EMR system

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical and telemetry setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions to ensure optimal care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure safe patient management
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and post-surgical care

• Orientation includes training at the main campus followed by unit orientation requirements.
• Facility is nicotine-free.
• Facility allows for the cancellation of one shift per 2-week pay period without penalty.
