LVN / LPN - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced LVN/LPN for a Medical Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center. Candidate must have recent acute care experience, LVN/LPN certification, and fulfill all compliance and travel requirements to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, condition, and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in team nursing ratios of 1:12 or higher.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and RTO policies.
• Participate in patient assessments and assist with procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid LVN/LPN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical units.
• Certification in IV therapy is required.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital is preferred.
• Able to work the night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, with availability for on-call as needed.
• Must meet all travel compliance requirements, including active licensure in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• No first-time travelers unless they have 3+ years recent experience in similar settings.
