Compensation & Benefits Competitive W-2 salary: $87,000 to $118,000 based on credentials, experience, and location Comprehensive health insurance: medical, dental, and vision effective your first day 401(k) with company match 10 days PTO plus paid sick leave Professional development stipend: $1,200 annually for CEUs, conferences, and certifications $2,000 sign-on bonus paid at 90 days $1,000 semester retention bonus per semester completed NCSP and state licensure fees fully reimbursed Malpractice and professional liability coverage provided by Thrive No non-compete clause Position Summary As a School Psychologist, you conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and developmental evaluations, provide crisis intervention and mental health consultation, contribute to school safety and threat assessment, support special education and RTI initiatives, and partner with families and educators to promote student resilience, academic achievement, and social-emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessment using standardized and informal tools Interpret assessment data, synthesize findings, and generate clear, actionable diagnostic reports and recommendations for educators and families Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students experiencing mental health emergencies, trauma, suicidality, or behavioral escalation Collaborate on special education evaluations, IEP development, and eligibility determination under IDEA and Section 504 Provide consultation to teachers and administrators on evidence-based classroom management, positive behavioral support, and learning environment design Participate in threat assessment, crisis team planning, and school safety initiatives Support RTI and MTSS implementation and contribute to school-wide assessment and progress monitoring systems Required Qualifications Education: Specialist in School Psychology from a NASP-approved program, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology National Certification in School Psychology or eligible to obtain Valid, unrestricted Tennessee School Psychologist license or certification Current CPR certification Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of school-based school psychology experience Experience with advanced cognitive and academic assessment tools including Woodcock-Johnson, Stanford-Binet, WISC, CELF, and KTEA Training in suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention Knowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural competency in assessment Experience with RTI and MTSS and data-driven decision-making Why Thrive Reduced evaluation ratios and protected time for data-informed case conceptualization; psychoeducational assessments used strategically, not filed away; intervention plans implemented with fidelity; mental health consultation built into the school's prevention and response framework; malpractice and professional liability coverage provided; no non-compete.
