Position Details Position Title: Inventory Control Clerk College/Division: Administration and Finance Department: 500640-CENTRAL PROPERTY Location: Las Cruces Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $16.83 Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5) Job Duties and Responsibilities Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for all aspects of the NMSU inventory lifecycle from receiving to disposition of inventory. This includes tagging items per NMSU requirements and ensuring property delivery. The position works with NMSU departments to facilitate the disposition process, either transferring property for reuse via the RePete system or selling property for surplus/disposal per NMSU policy. NMSU conducts an annual inventory of property. The clerk assists in processing inventory forms, receiving surplus property, facilitating sale of surplus, and providing general assistance to departments during the inventory process. Vehicle titles and registrations for all NMSU vehicles are maintained: tracking new registrations, distributing registrations and license plates, requesting duplicate titles or replacement plates, and ensuring all appropriate paperwork is in order to facilitate sale of the vehicle when disposal is required. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or higher degree. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity. Lifting Requirements: Handling average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and standing/walking >4 hours per day.
