Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving processes while supporting operational and financial excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
• Perform complex balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
• Assist with inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations
• Perform financial and variance analysis
• Prepare sales tax and other recurring regulatory filings
• Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements
• Partner with operations and leadership on financial initiatives
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience leading month-end close
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience preferred
• Inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
• CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
