Machine Extrusion Operator

Pridestaff is actively seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Extrusion Operator to work for a premier manufacturing client in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. This is a fantastic temp-to-hire opportunity for an individual committed to safety, quality, and high production standards. The Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of extrusion machinery used to manufacture high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery and all related downstream equipment (e.g., feeders, pullers, cutters, winders) safely.
• Set up and adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) following specific work orders to ensure product quality and adherence to strict standards.
• Load raw materials (resins, colorants, additives) into the machine hoppers.
• Perform quality checks on extruded products using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and promptly make necessary machine adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues, machine faults, and product defects to minimize production downtime.
• Complete production logs, quality control reports, and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, strictly following all safety protocols.
• Assist with machine changeovers, preventative maintenance, and thorough cleaning procedures.

Schedule Details:

• 1st Shift, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders, operating instructions, and safety manuals.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for the entire shift, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• A proven record of reliable attendance and punctuality is a must.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of experience operating plastic extrusion machinery or similar industrial equipment.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
