The Nurse Clinical Manager manages the overall operations of the Cardiac Catheterization/EP Labs, the Acute Recovery Unit and the Diagnostic Cardiology Department. The Clinical Manager ensures cost-effective use of human capital and material resources in delivering Excellent Care Always.* The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures that the nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care utilize evidence based practices. The Nurse Clinical Manager practices autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights.* The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. The Nurse Clinical Manager ensures clinical practice is in accordance with competency required for that area. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and or others who are under her/his direction. This is done through participation in quality assurance or performance improvement initiatives. The Nurse Clinical Manager provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment.
