Chassis PrepJob Category: OperationsRequisition Number: CHASS013092Posted: June 24, 2025Full-TimeOn-siteRate: $24.25 USD per hourLocation: Salisbury, NC 28146, USAJob DetailsDescriptionStarting Rate: $24.25 + full time benefitsJob Summary:The Chassis Prep will do prep work (Installations/Welding/Fabrication) for the hoist mounting process and install certain components onto Truck Chassis.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plans out what steps are necessary to complete the installation.Install some of the electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed prior to the hoist mounting process.Connects hydraulic hose from cylinder to oil tankInspects work before the truck is moved on in the processOperate a handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties.Operates a forklift to move components as needed.Must be able to read a tape measure.Have mechanical knowledge in truck parts installation.Complete tasks while adhering to production schedulesCommunicate any issues or quality concerns to department SupervisorEnsure compliance with all safety and quality standardsOperates all tools and equipment safely.Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Proven ability to assemble based on written and verbal guidelines.A minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in using various measuring instruments.1+ years of mechanical experience.1+ years of welding experience.Electrical Knowledge is a plus.Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations.Ability to follow instructions under limited supervision.Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferred.Company Benefits:2 Medical Plan Options–Base PPO with HSA (High Deductible) and PPO Exclusive Medical Plans • Prescription (Rx) Insurance • Health Savings Account (HSA) • Dental PPO Insurance Plan • Vision Insurance • Voluntary Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) • Voluntary Accident & Critical Illness (Cancer) Insurance • Company Paid Disability Insurance • Company Paid Business Travel Insurance • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • 401(K) Retirement Plan with 50% Company Match • Vacation and Personal/Sick Time • Paid Grandparent Leave • Paid Bonding Leave • Adoption Assistance • Education Assistance (Tuition Reimbursement)About WastequipWastequip got its start in 1989 with containers and compactors.
