Monitoring Engineer

Seeking a motivated Monitoring Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage and administer the Nagios XI platform, onboard new devices, and design custom monitoring scripts across Windows and Linux systems. Key responsibilities: Maintain and administer the Nagios XI platform, including upgrades and general platform health Onboard new devices and services into monitoring to ensure comprehensive coverage Design and maintain custom checks and monitoring scripts across various systems Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Over 3 years of systems/network administration experience, with at least 2 years administering Nagios XI Solid scripting ability in Bash and/or Python for Linux, and PowerShell for Windows Working knowledge of SNMP, NRPE/NCPA, and common network/server monitoring protocols Understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to monitoring connectivity
