Business Analyst

This Product Owner will manage and prioritize the backlog for crew labor management applications, including scheduling, time and attendance, labor compliance, and payroll integrations.

They will work closely with the Product Manager to translate business objectives into actionable requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and partner with Engineering teams to deliver solutions. The role will also collaborate with stakeholders across Marine Operations, HR, Payroll, and Crewing to gather requirements, coordinate UAT, monitor delivery progress, resolve risks and dependencies, and ensure solutions comply with organizational security and data governance standards.
Must-Haves
- Experience in Data Analytics, Data Quality, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and Python
- Experience writing, debugging, and implementing moderately complex queries involving multiple tables or databases across platforms
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and communicate findings effectively
Pluses
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Oracle, and cloud data platforms
- Experience with Ataccama Data Quality Platform (strongly preferred) or any other Data Quality Platform
- Experience with Delta Lake, Snowflake, Azure cloud services, Power BI, or Tableau.
Compensation
$38-$40hr USD.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. xhyhwjd
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
