Job Overview Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Seattle, Washington for a 13‑week assignment. Job Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, days Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely, and handle patients requiring lifts of up to 50 pounds at times. Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience. BLS and ACLS mandatory; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. BLS, RRT, NBRC, and at least 2 years of experience required; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
