We need safe, experienced drivers to meet customer needs. Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles, which pays 3–5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. The governed truck speed has been raised to 68 MPH on the cruise and 65 MPH on the pedal. The most productive 50 percent of our Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking OTR drivers average more than $101,176 annually (about $1,945 weekly; $0.66 to $0.69 CPM). The top 50% of our Hunt Transportation drivers average $93,347 annually ($1,795 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.65 to $0.68 per mile.
