Registered Nurse (RN) – Primary Care / Occupational Health

NuWest Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term assignment supporting a workplace health and wellness clinic in Hanover, Pennsylvania . This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with primary care or outpatient experience who enjoys providing high-quality patient care in a professional, community-focused setting.

Assignment Details

• Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• End Date: January 8, 2027
• Regular Schedule:
  • Monday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Additional Short-Term Coverage: Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Meal Break: 30 minutes

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient workplace health setting.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document clinical information.
• Support primary care and preventive health services.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Assist with patient care, clinical procedures, and treatments within scope of practice.
• Provide patient education and health-related guidance.
• Accurately document patient encounters and clinical information in the electronic medical record.
• Utilize Epic or similar EMR systems for clinical documentation and patient care.
• Support front-office administrative functions, including patient check-in and check-out.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and other clinic staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable healthcare, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Provide flexible coverage and support based on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• Current BLS certification .
• Previous primary care or outpatient nursing experience preferred .
• Pediatric experience preferred .
• Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills .
• Epic EMR experience preferred .
• Excellent patient-care, customer-service, and communication skills.
• Comfortable assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment.
• Dependable, flexible, and professional approach to patient care.
