Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Janitor to join our Environmental Services team. The Janitor will ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. This role is essential in supporting infection prevention efforts and maintaining regulatory compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, restrooms, common areas, offices, and hallways.
Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming.
Remove trash and biohazard waste safely and follow facility protocols.
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
Support the Environmental Services Supervisor in maintaining compliance with state, federal, and facility infection control guidelines.
Respond promptly to housekeeping needs and special cleaning requests.
Maintain equipment and report any repairs or safety hazards.
Qualifications
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
