Data Engineer Intern, Summer 2025 Los Angeles, CA. Hi, We're Centerfield. As a Data Engineer Intern at Centerfield, you'll work closely with our Data Engineering team to support the development, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure that power our business. You'll gain hands‑on experience writing and testing code, learning how data drives performance, and how we create scalable solutions in a fast‑paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to learn the core of data engineering while collaborating with a team that's building real‑time, intelligent technology solutions. How You'll Contribute Write and test clean, efficient, and scalable code Support and complete low‑level tickets related to data ingestion, ETL pipelines, and tooling Participate in Level of Effort (LOE) estimations and planning Learn and contribute to internal data engineering processes and tools Analyze, manipulate, and query data to support projects Collaborate cross‑functionally with stakeholders to understand and support data needs Learn the business and how data plays a central role in our success Complete a capstone project with real business impact, and present your work to Centerfield leadership at the end of your internship What We're Looking For Eagerness to learn and a growth mindset Rising seniors or recent grads (Spring 2025) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to write and test code effectively Basic understanding of programming languages and tools Interest in working with large datasets and solving real‑world data challenges Local to our Playa Vista HQ and able to work in‑office 3 days per week Bonus Points Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data pipeline frameworks Understanding of ETL processes and data modeling Interest in digital marketing, analytics, or advertising Curiosity around cloud‑based technologies (AWS, Azure) or data platforms Intern Life at Centerfield Weekly pay Interactive, onsite new‑hire orientation for your first week to meet your peers End‑of‑summer internship commencement with presentations and fun interactive events Be assigned a personal mentor for daily support and guidance Career‑focused workshop presentations from Centerfield’s key stakeholders Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning Unlimited free snacks and drinks around the office Monthly happy hours, catered Thursday lunches Award‑winning culture & team spirit (featured in LA Business Journal & Built In LA Best places to work) Monthly team outings (ball games, casino night, hikes, etc.) Career growth – we enjoy promoting from within $28 – $30 an hour This is a 12‑week paid internship starting in June 2025 and ending in August 2025.
