Senior Accountant, Real Estate
Location: Beverly Hills, CA
$80,000 - $105,000 + Bonus
A well-established, privately held real estate investment and development company headquartered in Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team. This company owns and manages a diverse portfolio of multi-family, medical office, commercial, and industrial properties across California and the Midwest, along with an active development pipeline.
This is a hands-on role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants direct visibility with senior leadership.
What You'll Do
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including general ledger scrubs, journal entries, account analysis, and bank reconciliations
- Perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Maintain monthly rent rolls
- Process monthly rent, CAM, and late fee billing
- Abstract leases and ensure accurate recordation in property management software
- Support construction accounting for active development projects
- Generate ad hoc accounting and finance reports as needed
- Partner closely with the Controller and CFO, with direct communication with company ownership
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of real estate accounting experience (required)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and property management software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality
- Ambition for growth and advancement within the organization
- Professional business etiquette and communication skills
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Controller and CFO, with direct interaction with the company's Owner.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Beverly Hills, CA.
