Department: 39109 Hospice Southeast Suburbs: Blue Team - Hospice Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday through Friday position 8-5 PM, On call and Weekend Rotation is required all surrounding areas communities of Christ Hospital Southeast side of Chicago, Illinois Pay Range: $28.55 - $42.85 We’re Looking For: Licensure or Certifications At least Two (2) units of CPE, accredited by ACPE; NACC units may be considered. 5 units preferred. In good standing with continued endorsement by the appropriate authority of his/her church, faith group or religious institute A valid driver’s license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles. Degrees/Experience: Completed masters degree (MA, MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field. A strong background in functional theology and the ability to apply this in a pastoral manner to individuals and families. Excellent communication skills with knowledge of counseling techniques. Ability to identify clients’ needs with consideration to cultural, ethnic, religious, economic, and other diverse backgrounds Experience and compassion in ministering to those who are dying and their grieving families. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions May be exposed to blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary. Exposed to widely varying social and environmental conditions in patient’s neighborhoods and homes. Availability and transportation to serve on-call rotation as needed. Must be able to travel to all areas within the Advocate Aurora service area in all extremes of weather on all types of roads. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday. Must be willing to work occasional overtime if needed. Required to make visits to private residences which may not be accessible to people with disabilities. Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear PPE, protective clothing and equipment as needed. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
