Learn more at We are searching for a Neuroscience Sales Specialist in Santa Monica, CA territory. The role is part of Intra‑Cellular Therapies, a Johnson & Johnson company dedicated to becoming the #1 leader in neuroscience. Job Description The Neuroscience Sales Specialist has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner. They will develop superior product and disease state knowledge for in‑depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals, create local strategic and tactical plans, manage budgets, and align marketing resources to support pull‑through activities. Job Responsibilities Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and mental health community centers both in person and virtually, following compliance guidelines. Effectively use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives; customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant way. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; routinely share such information with internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region; identify and select appropriate programs and resources. Work with Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan achieving all objectives; capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best‑practice sharing. Maintain accurate administrative records of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, sample usage, and expense reporting. Build a business plan based on depth and breadth of customer needs, resources, and products. Complete all company and job‑related training as assigned within required timelines. Job Requirements Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, or B2B sales, or recent transition from active‑duty military. 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred. Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Strong desire and passion for improving patients’ lives; patient‑centric mindset. High integrity and adherence to the company’s compliance policies. Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent decision‑making, and collaborative skills. Track record of learning and adapting in evolving environments such as COVID‑19. Agility to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environment. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress and diagnose performance issues. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences. Work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours (some overnight travel may be required). Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $79,000 – $155,000. Eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan, long‑term incentive program, and consolidated retirement plan. Paid time off: vacation 120 hours per calendar year; 40 hours sick time (48 hours for Colorado residents, 56 hours for Washington residents); holiday pay including floating holidays 13 days; work/personal & family time up to 40 hours; parental leave 480 hours; bereavement leave 240 hours; caregiver leave 80 hours; volunteer leave 32 hours; military spouse time‑off 80 hours.
