We are excited to welcome YOU as our culture champion and builder! Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Overall management of all aspects of people operations in the West Region including but not limited to employee offer/orientation/onboarding, benefits, compensation, workers compensation claims, performance management, engagement, retention, exit process, recognition and learning and development
• Partner with VP People to conduct regular supervisor training and coaching sessions
• Partner with hospital management and supervisors to ensure employee data integrity requirements are met in the HRIS system
• Provide input into the development of competitive benefits for employees, implement and manage administration and communications of benefit programs in the West Region
• Serve as the point person for all employee relations matters in the West Region
• Responsible for all aspects of workers compensation administration including management of timely incident reporting, investigations, safety training, claims and return to work.
• Consult with People Director to ensure effective management of all aspects of leave management, including FMLA, STD, LTD, paid parental leave and state-covered care leaves, and disability insurance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred or relevant regional HR operations experience
• Minimum of five years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner role
• Professional Human Resources (PHR) preferred
• Experience managing all HR processes for multiple entities and states preferred
• Must possess good working knowledge of ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, PCORI and ERISA or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and manage comparable programs governed by complex regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements and experience in dealing with sensitive employee relations matters. Working knowledge of California labor legislation preferred
• Experience managing and leading complex systems and programs; prior experience working with ADP or comparable HRIS/payroll systems preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Products with the ability to run pivot tables and build dashboards and presentations
• Location: On-Site at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, Nevada - OR - Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Colorado
• Travel required 10 - 15% (West Region)
• May be required to work evenings or weekends on occasions
