The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions, including but not limited to:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications Preferences: • Experience with cost analysis and profitability reporting
• Manufacturing accounting experience

The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions, including but not limited to:
- General ledger accounting
- Corporate, tax, and divisional reporting
- Assisting with internal and external audit processes
- Maintaining and continuously improving internal controls
- Partnering with departments across the organization to analyze and evaluate costs
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business
- Evaluate credit applications for new and existing customers
- Establish, review, and adjust credit limits using credit bureaus, trade references, and financial statement analysis
- Lead the collections strategy for customers and proactively address potential bad debt
