About the Position

Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Location: North Carolina

Schedule: Day and night ICU coverage starting late December, with ongoing coverage needs into January

Openings: 1

Position Overview

• Inpatient critical care coverage for a neuroscience ICU service
• Provide ICU-level assessment, management, and coordination of care
• Respond to codes as needed
• No scheduled call requirement listed

Clinical Scope

• Typical procedures may include arterial lines, central lines, lumbar punctures, and ventilator management
• Average daily census and patient volume may vary by shift
• EMR: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina license (or ability to meet site licensing requirements prior to start)
• Acute care certification as applicable to role
• BLS and ACLS from AHA
• ICU experience with comfort performing ICU level care
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Orientation and training may be required prior to the first shift
