Marketing & Communications Specialist

This is an onsite position based in Carson City, Nevada. Remote and hybrid work are not available. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance or be prepared to relocate at their own expense before employment begins. Employment sponsorship is not available for this position. Position Summary The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing, communications, website, trade show, and branded material needs of Taiyo America and Taiyo Circuit Automation. This position will maintain and update company websites, coordinate trade show participation, assist with brochures and marketing materials, place orders for promotional and printed items, and help ensure company materials are accurate, professional, and consistent with company branding. This role works closely with sales, management, engineering, and outside vendors to support customer-facing communication and marketing needs. The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and update company websites for Taiyo America and Taiyo Circuit Automation, including product information, company updates, images, documents, links, and other content as needed. Coordinate with internal departments and outside website vendors to ensure website content is accurate, current, and professional. Assist with planning and coordination of trade shows, conferences, and customer-facing events. Coordinate trade show logistics, including registration, booth requirements, shipping, promotional items, literature, badges, vendor forms, deadlines, and related follow-up. Maintain the company trade show calendar and assist with tracking important dates, costs, and required materials. Coordinate the creation, ordering, inventory, and distribution of brochures, flyers, product sheets, sales literature, branded materials, and promotional items. Work with outside vendors, printers, designers, promotional product suppliers, and booth/event vendors as needed. Assist with maintaining brand consistency across company materials, including logos, templates, printed materials, presentations, signage, and digital content. Support sales and management with customer-facing presentations, handouts, marketing packets, and other communication materials. Assist with company announcements, product updates, website postings, and other marketing or communication projects. Review marketing materials for accuracy, grammar, formatting, branding, and consistency before distribution or publication. Maintain electronic files of marketing materials, photos, logos, templates, vendor information, and completed projects. Track marketing-related expenses, invoices, purchase requests, and order status as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, formatting, and follow-through. Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and outside vendors. Comfortable updating website content and working with website platforms or vendors. Basic understanding of marketing materials, branding, trade shows, and customer-facing communications. Ability to review documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and professional appearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work independently while also taking direction from management and internal stakeholders. Professional judgment when handling company information and customer-facing materials. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of experience in marketing coordination, communications, website support, trade show coordination, sales support, administrative project coordination, or a related role preferred. Experience coordinating trade shows, marketing materials, websites, vendors, or branded collateral preferred. Experience in a manufacturing, technical, industrial, or business-to-business environment is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Ability to communicate by phone, email, video meeting, and in person. Ability to occasionally lift and move boxes of marketing materials, brochures, trade show items, or promotional products, generally up to 25 pounds. Ability to assist with organizing, packing, shipping, and receiving trade show or marketing materials as needed. Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment. The role may require occasional interaction with production, engineering, shipping, sales, and management personnel.
