About the Role

The Company is seeking a President / Operational Leader to spearhead the operational transformation of a private equity-backed specialty contracting business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the business through its next phase of growth, with a focus on professionalizing operations, building repeatable systems, and ensuring strong project execution. This hands-on role demands a proven operator who can bring project discipline, stronger controls, operational visibility, and accountability across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes experience as a President, General Manager, COO, or similar role, with full P&L responsibility in a contracting, field services, or specialty trades environment. Experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial services, or specialty trades construction is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at leading change in a long-standing, relationship-led business. Success in this role is defined by the ability to stabilize execution, build accountability, and create a scalable operating model. The role is not a turnaround but rather an opportunity to work with a respected business that has a strong customer base and committed employees. The focus is on moving from an entrepreneurial and relationship-led success model to a more scalable operating model. The candidate should be decisive, humble, and operationally rigorous, with a track record of improving accountability, consistency, and operating discipline. Key responsibilities include establishing stronger project review processes, improving forecasting accuracy, and creating accountability across the leadership team. The role offers the potential for clear progression into a President seat and high visibility with the private equity firm and the platform leadership team.
