Short Description The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required. Overview The Medical ICU (Viner ICU) is a 30-bed intensive care unit. The ICU specializes in the care of adult, acutely ill patients in an academic setting. The ICU offers state-of-the-art care with innovative technology and lifesaving interventions. The highly specialized multidisciplinary team is committed to providing expert care to the sickest of the sick in the region. Driven by quality and patient centered care the team delivers advanced critical care for patients needing; ECMO, cardiac surgery, interventional pulmonary care, and other lifesaving treatments. Over the last few years, the ICU received, “The Family Centered Care Innovation Award” and the “2022 ICU Hero’s Award” from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
