Provide specialized neonatal care to critically ill and high-risk neonates within a Level 3 NICU setting. Ensure the safety, comfort, and health of premature and neonatal patients through advanced clinical practices and family support. Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor neonatal patients for signs of distress or complications.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and facility protocols.
- Operate and manage ventilators, endotracheal tubes, and other respiratory support devices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate and support families regarding neonatal care and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical interventions.
- Active Missouri or compact nurse license required at submission.
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric or neonatal ICU experience, including proficiency with Cerner EMR.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; PALS and Advanced NRP preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in respiratory management, blood glucose monitoring, and phototherapy.
- Ability to work night shifts, including every third weekend, with floating within hospital units.
- Strong clinical skills in neonatal endocrine, metabolic, and respiratory care.
