They utilize a high level of proficiency to obtain quality and quantity goals according to customer specifications and standard operating procedures. This position is on DAY Shift./ppstrongPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:/strong/pulliSet-up, operate, and maintain department machinery./liliInterpret job specs and component orientation: verify finished product meets customer specifications./liliPerform basic and advanced Make Readies/setups./liliMaintain accurate documentation and proper production reports./liliPerform daily maintenance to ensure color accuracy./liliIdentify root causes that impact productivity and quality goals./liliEnsure jobs are assembled properly; and maintain appropriate print position./liliAssist Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting problems./liliLoad and unload forms; maintain adequate supply of materials at the machine./liliConduct smooth transition between shifts; gather pertinent data to avoid interruption to production./liliReplace ink Drums./liliExpertly re-web press as needed./liliEnsure overall quality and color consistency./liliPartner with Supervisor when equipment repair is necessary./liliMaintain a clean and safe work area./liliAbility to cross train on all equipment./liliTrain newer team members to advance their skills and enhance team flexibility./liliPerform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned./li/ulpstrongRequired Skills/Abilities/Competencies:/strong/pulliDetermine proper registration through the use of templates and visual inspection./liliStrong oral and written communication skills./liliBasic computer skills preferred./liliDetail-oriented and ability to prioritize tasks./liliTeam player and ability to train others./liliHighly technically inclined and ability to operate direct mail equipment./liliAbility to use Maxwell workstation instrument, MICR workstation instrument and set up Coating and Perf unit./li/ulpstrongEducation and Experience:/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent./liliManufacturing/Production environment experience; lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred./liliHigh Speed inserting experience required, preferably to include 4 color Read/Write (Condor)./lili1+ year of digital printing experience./lili2+ years laser operator experience; additional experience in digital print, direct mail, and/or fulfillment industry helpful./liliPrevious participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliAbility to work consecutively 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekend rotations./liliAbility to work overtime when needed./liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment./liliStandard climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided)./liliAbility to lift, carry and push/pull up to 35 pounds./liliAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 12 hours./liliUpper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching./liliLower extremity motion requirements: reaching/liliPre-employment post-offer comprehensive assessment required./li/ulpstrongSalary:/strong The starting hourly range for this position is $23.00-$30.00/hr./ppAt IWCO, base pay is determined by job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, along with factors such as role scope and location.
