Job Description We are seeking a dependable and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our second shift manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in an environment where independence, accountability, and sound decision‑making are essential. Second shift leadership operates with minimal day‑to‑day oversight, so we are looking for someone who can confidently lead operations, solve problems, and keep production moving safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do As the Second Shift Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure quality products, efficient workflows, and on‑time delivery while maintaining a strong culture of safety and accountability. Responsibilities include: Lead and support a skilled second shift production team with confidence and minimal supervision Make sound operational decisions independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards Communicate effectively with production employees, leadership, and cross‑functional departments to keep workflow moving smoothly Maintain proper flow of parts and materials between work centers and departments Promote and enforce a safe working environment, including compliance with PPE and safety procedures Identify production issues quickly, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions Escalate critical concerns appropriately while maintaining shift continuity and operational stability Train, mentor, and develop employees to build a reliable and accountable team Conduct employee evaluations and contribute to hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures What We’re Looking For Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong independent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to lead effectively with minimal support Strong communication and team leadership skills Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships Why Join Us? Qualifications What You Bring: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred 3 or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment Previous experience supervising employees on an off‑shift or in a low‑oversight environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow management, and production scheduling Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast‑paced production environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable Experience conducting employee training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions preferred Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing software or ERP systems preferred Hiring Range $69,000 -$83,000 annually.
