Director of Finance

Key Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, providing actionable insights on business performance, trends, and key drivers.
Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range strategic planning, and rolling forecasts.
Develop and monitor KPIs across revenue, profitability, utilization, operational efficiency, client performance, and other critical business metrics.
Partner with senior leaders to support growth initiatives, operational improvements, pricing strategies, resource planning, and strategic decision-making.
Analyze financial and operational performance to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate investments, expansion opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities, including financial diligence, synergy analysis, and post-transaction performance tracking.
Drive accountability and execution of financial recommendations across the organization.
Enhance FP&A capabilities through improved reporting, dashboarding, forecasting tools, process automation, and business intelligence solutions.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial leadership roles.
Experience partnering directly with business leaders to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Background supporting complex organizations with multiple business units, locations, or operating entities.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of financial statements and business performance drivers.
Experience with ERP, planning, and business intelligence platforms.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into practical business recommendations.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Located within the New York metropolitan area or willing to commute.

Preferred

MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced credential.
Experience within professional services, consulting, accounting, advisory, or other people-driven organizations.
Experience supporting high-growth, private equity-backed, or acquisition-oriented businesses.
Track record of working in dynamic environments undergoing significant growth and transformation.
