Responsibilities The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for delivery of evidence‑based diagnostic assessment and treatment to children, adolescents and/or adults. The incumbent will receive day‑to‑day guidance, administrative supervision, and clinical consultation from the Behavioral Health Coordinator, with additional accountability to the Behavioral Health Services Manager. This position will provide both initial intake assessments and follow‑up psychotherapy care as a member of the outpatient behavioral health practitioner staff. The Therapist will collaborate with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with accurate diagnosis and specified treatment goals, monitor progress, and adjust treatment focus as needed. They may coordinate care with primary care, specialty providers, and other systems (e.g., schools, families). The Therapist may also provide crisis support, triage, risk assessments, safety planning, and determine appropriate level of care. The Therapist will work in an outpatient behavioral health clinic, providing both virtual and in‑office treatment according to department protocols, and maintain documentation in the electronic medical record promptly and professionally. Active participation in case consultations, meetings, and team collaboration is required. Qualifications Master's degree in a psychotherapy‑related field (Psychology, Social Work, Guidance & Counseling, or Nursing). Appropriate Wisconsin clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and Medicaid/Health Forward provider certification. National Provider Identifier (NPI). Personal transportation to multiple work locations. Minimum 3 years of direct clinical behavioral health services. Knowledge of short‑term therapy models. Experience in an HMO or managed care setting. Proficiency in evidence‑based therapy, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups; knowledge of current behavioral health theory and practice. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening. Commitment to inclusive, equitable, respectful care for diverse populations. Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, and EPIC EMR. Stable high‑speed internet and video‑conferencing capability. Team collaboration, excellent verbal and written communication. Flexibility, troubleshooting, and attentiveness to patient verbalizations for extended periods. Ability to work some evening hours and after‑hours on‑call.
