ICU/CCU Registered Nurse

Position is for an ICU/CCU Registered Nurse. Shifts will be nights from 19:00 to 07:30. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2 for all shifts. The unit has a total of 4 beds in the ICU. Minimum of 2 years' nursing experience required. First-time travelers are accepted. Required to work every other weekend. The position does not require on-call duties. Floating within the facility may be necessary. Block schedule accommodating requests can be discussed with management. Active state license is necessary to apply; pending licenses will not be accepted. Ideally, requested time off should not exceed 5 days. The client may cancel up to 36 hours during the assignment without payment for the canceled hours. Candidates should be proficient in infection prevention and isolation precautions, as well as care of surgical wounds and drains. Cerner experience is preferred for charting. Unit focuses on adult and geriatric patients and sees an average daily census of 4. Diverse patient diagnoses include respiratory, cardiac, and renal conditions. Special procedures include chest tube management and bedside dialysis catheter insertion. Skills in teamwork and interdisciplinary support are essential.
