Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' individual needs and design personalized therapy strategies to help them meet their functional aspirations
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and daily living capabilities
- Collaborate with Care Teams: Work in concert with OTs, PTs, STs, healthcare providers, and nursing staff to deliver holistic patient care
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their families in effective therapy methods to encourage ongoing progress outside the clinical setting
- Track Progress and Adjust Plans: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment as necessary to ensure patients stay on their path to recovery
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Encouragement for ongoing education or post-graduate certifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
- A genuine passion for patient care, coupled with a steadfast commitment to fostering independence
- Strong, compassionate communication skills with both patients and team members
