If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you’re going to want to be here.Join us and become part of the power behind possible.**About The Opportunity**Administer daily functions of the HR department, including HR policies and procedures, payroll, hourly recruitment and staffing, employee relations, leaves of absence, and benefit enrollment.**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**1. Conduct human resource generalist activities in the areas of recruiting, selection, onboarding, orientation, training, employee relations, and payroll.2. Assist with communication and enrollment of benefits, safety, and wellness programs, working in conjunction with the corresponding functional departments.3. Support continuous improvement activities to identify and resolve opportunities and gaps within the HR function.4. Utilize SAP, Workday, TCP, and other related HRIS to administer payroll, wages, status change, leave entitlement, attendance, and other related personnel transactions.5. Assist in FMLA, Disability, and other leaves of absence programs.6. Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all relevant labor laws.7. Promote open door communication with all employees; be visible to ensure employees feel at ease to approach for questions and be available to counsel as required.8. Maintain appropriate professional affiliations and participate in professional development activities that foster continuous learning and ensure business compliance with applicable state and federal employment, wage, FMLA, OSHA and other regulations and/or procedures.9. Employee Retention **Education/Certification****Level Required -** Bachelor’s Degree – HR or related field**Level Desired** - PHR/SHRM-CP Certification **Work Experience****Required -** 2 years of relevant HR work experience**Desired** - 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing2 years experience in a union setting, if applicable **Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**1. Ability to handle the stress of working with others 2. Ability to be available outside of normal work hours3. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others4. Ability to lead by example5. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles and levels within the organization6. Ability to use situational leadership given an employee’s development needs to accomplish business objectives7. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop them appropriately8. Knowledge of federal, state/provincial and local laws and guidelines9.
