Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

The RN - OR is responsible for providing exceptional perioperative nursing care in a busy adult operating room setting. This role requires ensuring patient safety, supporting surgical procedures, and following established protocols to deliver quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgical teams with procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and ensuring equipment readiness.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of surgical interventions and patient status.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety standards, policies, and protocols, including compliance with unit guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth perioperative care delivery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with current state licensure.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of perioperative nursing experience in an OR setting.
  
  
• 
  BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Experience with robotics programs and a broad range of surgical specialties preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in on-call duties as required.
