Location : Canton, GA 30115
Contract Length: 13-Week Contract
Shift : 8-Hour Evening Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours Per Week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Instrument Technician to join a Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage
• Prepare surgical instrument trays according to procedure requirements
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments
• Follow infection prevention and sterile processing standards
• Document sterilization records accurately
• Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure instrument availability
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Comply with facility safety and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experience
• Experience reprocessing surgical instruments
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention practices
• Previous travel experience is a bonus
• HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certification
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
