Senior Finance Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, financially-savvy, emerging leader to join our Buildings & Infrastructure team in the US Northeast Region. As a Senior Finance Manager, you’ll collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Operations and business partners, as well as Finance peers. This is a unique opportunity to have an impact on the Building & Infrastructure Group, which comprises of Transportation, Water, and Cities & Places to create a more connected and sustainable world.

As a key member of our team we’ll ask you to be responsible for the following:

Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Deliver timely, relevant and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis/data to Finance Stakeholders and relevant Operations partners.

• Ensuring accuracy of revenue recognition, cost accruals and overhead charges in finalizing the P&L of each business unit on a monthly basis.

• Responsible for driving and owning the collaboration effort for the quarterly forecast and annual budget including challenging the proposed targets, suggesting performance improvements, and implementing corrective actions to recover when required.

• Owning and approving final version and delivering on time forecast submissions, backlog, hit list, budget/forecast slide deck and any necessary backup for business units.

Finance Business Partnering

• Work with Senior Vice Presidents, Head of Operations and Senior Stakeholders to give insight on the business trends, KPI’s and Plan, challenging and influencing the team to help drive improvements.

• Focus on profit improvement and performance enhancement through the implementation of new initiatives.

• Work with business partners to improve the DSO of a business unit and provide operations and finance with executive level analysis of position, trending.

• Ensure that all Projects are reported in line with best practices and that Revenues and Margin are reported in accordance with Company Policy.

• Ensure project risks and opportunities are clearly identified and escalated.

• Implement KPI’s that measure operational excellence alongside the delivery of financial objectives and identify and implement corrective action requirements.

• Participate in business unit management meetings and monthly PAR and provide feedback to Controller.

• Collaborate with Peers on standardizing processes and procedures and provide cover to other Finance Managers during absence periods.

• Work with Sales partners as required to ensure financial risks are identified in bids and proposals and escalate to Controller as necessary.

Corporate Governance

• Provide accurate and on time information to internal and external auditors or obtain answers to provide to a facilitator who works directly with said parties.

• Ensure risks are identified and escalated as appropriate through the organization.

• Ensuring best practice is maintained and implemented where required, in line with company requirements, audit requirements, SOX and IFRS.

• Be aware of and adhere to any regulatory requirements and keep abreast of any new developments.

• Ensure business is knowledgeable in its compliance responsibilities in AP, AR, PA.

The ideal candidate will be based in the eastern or central time zones, preferably Florida but other locations could include: Charlotte, North Carolina, Orlando or Tampa, Florida, Dallas, Houston or Austin Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration

• Substantial years' experience in financial management, budgeting and forecasting in the consulting industry

• Previous experience analyzing financial data to provide insight on trends

• Advanced technical skills including strong proficiency in Excel and Power Bi

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.

• Located and able to work in the Eastern or Central US, ability to travel on occasion (once a quarter)

• Experience in liaising with central corporate functions, as well as working with multiple disciplines such as Engineering, IT, HR, Accounting, Sales and Legal.

• Ability to effectively handle change and work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous professional experience using Oracle PBCS
