Weigel's is seeking positive and outgoing District Leaders that want to make a difference in the communities we serve. We are not just another Convenience Store and that's because our Teams are the best in the business! We are currently seeking candidates that will create a productive working atmosphere in our stores and who are committed to the company's success. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the overall vision for each store in their district, establishing benchmarks for store management teams and implementing policies and programs that will help those teams achieve their goals. The District Leader will also be charged with collaborating with our advertising team to develop marketing materials designed to help the district to meet or exceed corporate sales goals.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Leadership Skills: District Leaders have to keep their employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions. A successful District Leader is a good leader.
• Time Management: District Leaders work with multiple stores and managers across a large region, coordinate visiting these stores daily. District Leaders might have to teach, train, hire, fire, discipline, create schedules, and write reports. Time management is essential to make sure everything gets done.
• Math and Budgeting: District Leaders are expected to keep and maintain a budget in almost every field. You will need to be confident in using math skills.
• Analytical Skills: District Leaders are in charge of maintaining an efficient and motivated team. You will also need analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day.
• Decision-Making Skills: Whether it is dealing with employees, management, customer or vendors, you will have to make decisions that affect the company. Having the ability to make hard and fast decisions is crucial to your success.
• Speaking and Writing: District Leaders do a lot of communicating. This might be in front of a group of employees, or in a meeting with management. You might be called upon to write reports, recommendations, or reasons for termination. Great verbal communications and writing skills will help you in any of these scenarios.

REQUIREMENTS

• A proven history of retail management experience, preferably multi-unit experience
• 5-10 years retail experience required
• Business development and strategy implementation knowledge
• Strong leadership and decision making skills
• Ability to sell, manage and drive growth
• Excellent customer relationship management skills
• BS/MA in Business Administration
