Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

New Orleans, LA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit on a night shift schedule
• Deliver patient care in accordance with facility protocols and unit manager direction
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating every-other-weekend basis
• Complete required facility orientation modules as scheduled
• Report as assigned by unit management in the event of an emergency, which may include remaining on-site or serving as part of a relief team

Required Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential with valid state license (Compact or Louisiana license required in hand at time of submittal)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in specialty; new graduates will not be considered
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• Two manager or supervisor references required prior to start (charge RNs not acceptable; PDF format required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Prior travel therapy experience welcomed; first-time travelers with strong RT experience will be considered
