Summit Staffing is seeking experienced and safety-focused Reach Truck Operators to support warehouse operations in a cold storage environment. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks, replenishing inventory, moving products throughout the facility, and maintaining accurate inventory placement. The ideal candidate has prior reach truck experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Job Details

• Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
• Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)
• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a reach truck to store and retrieve pallets from warehouse racking systems
• Replenish pick locations to support order fulfillment operations
• Assist with inventory movement, staging, and product organization
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
• Maintain accurate product placement and inventory integrity
• Follow warehouse procedures and productivity expectations
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Support additional warehouse duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• Previous reach truck experience required
• Warehouse and high-rack storage experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Previous inventory, shipping, or receiving experience
• Forklift certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of operating material handling equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods

Safety Requirements

• Follow all powered industrial truck and warehouse safety procedures
• Wear required PPE at all times
• Conduct equipment inspections before operation
• Report safety concerns or equipment issues immediately
