This allows us to adapt with our customers and partners as needs evolve, leveraging our footprint to remain at your side while providing a highly personalized level of service and support no matter where you find yourself around the globe.Position overview: The Sorter Associate will operate computerized vision equipment to inspect and package product for shipment including labeling and palletizing.Main responsibilities:Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.Adherence to all quality policies and procedures.Operation of equipment.Clean up of equipment between jobsPerforming preventative maintenance requirementsAssisting with set-up of equipmentOperation of equipment at targeted rateValidating proper operation of equipmentLoading of unsorted productScraping of non-conforming partsPackaging of conforming partsInspection of product being sortedBoxing, labelling, and palletizing parts.Maintenance of production recordsMaintenance of lot control.Key Competencies: The ideal candidate must have the following competencies:Mechanical SkillsDecision MakingTeam SkillsProblem Solving SkillsCommunication SkillsReading SkillsBasic Math SkillsComputer SkillsSkills and Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED2-5 years relevant experience required, warehouse setting preferred.Ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Forklift experience preferred.Compensation: At Optimas we believe in having a competitive compensation scheme to motivate and retain our employees.
