Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
ITS is working with a national client seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. Your key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement instrumentation and facility automation systems for various industries.
- Prepare wiring plans, diagrams, and control sequences.
- Develop system architecture and network integration strategies.
- Design industrial communication networks.
- Conduct quality control reviews and apply industry standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and interface with clients.
- Mentor junior engineers and support process improvements.
- Assist with proposal reviews and workload forecasting.
- Meet client site requirements, including background checks.
Qualifications: Your capabilities and credentials include:
- Strong knowledge of automation systems and controls engineering.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and alarm strategies.
- Familiarity with industrial process control systems.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
