EHS Manager

Job Summary Department: Safety & Environmental – Job Title: Safety & Environmental Manager. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Control, or another safety‑related field. Minimum of five years’ manufacturing experience in safety and environmental compliance. The Environmental and Safety Manager will develop, implement, and manage the plant’s safety programs and systems. They will lead core safety processes, ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, and oversee employee participation, incident investigations, behavioral audits, safety action plans, job hazard analyses, SOPs, inspections, safety evaluations, and training for all hourly and salaried personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement safety programs and systems. Maintain and improve employee awareness and compliance. Oversee incident investigations and behavioral audits. Provide required supplemental safety training. Stay current on government regulations and advise management of safety, health, and environmental issues. Conduct job safety analyses. Qualifications / Requirements Understanding and application of department policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with all MS Office applications. Leadership of safety initiatives. Analytical skills in safety data, reporting, training, OSHA, Workers’ Comp, and environmental compliance (Tier II, EIQ, and wastewater reporting). Computer skills: Windows-based software, networks, PLCs, etc. Problem‑solving and complaint resolution skills. Physical Requirements This position must meet the physical demands set forth by Occumed through the WorkSteps program. Protective Equipment Safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, cut‑resistant gloves, hairnet, beard net (if necessary), and hard hat when required.
